Our DDAP Licensed Residential houses are located at 2701 & 3837 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA.  Both locations were built in the 1900's.  2701 has 5,514 square feet with beautiful stained glass windows. 3837 has 2,654 square feet and 9 parking spaces.  We have the ability to accommodate 16 adult men at 2701 & 13 adult men at 3837.  We have rooms with up to 4 residents, as well as, single & double occupancy rooms.  This helps with accountability in the early stages of recovery.  Our locations are in residential areas that are safe & secure, for an alcohol & drug free living environment. Our houses are places of peace, serenity & spiritual growth, where integrity & principles of AA/NA reign supreme.  â€‹

 

Our residents can stay as long as they want, as long as they abide by Our House Rules and Code of Conduct.  We highly recommend a minimum of at least 6 months stay to assist them in getting back on their feet.  A stable, alcohol and drug free living environment enables them to sustain abstinence from the drug or alcohol that previously controlled their life.

Our goal is to help change the course of an addict's life through self-discovery and practicing of recovery skills in the real world.  By providing housing in a safe & comfortable environment with support, guidance, nurturing and structure.  We feel this is a necessity for transitioning from addiction to a true sober independent life.

Our home is structured in a way that avoids some of the limitations of halfway houses.  We have single & multiple resident rooms, as well as multiple bathrooms.

* Security Deposit is refundable with a successful completion of our program, compliance with House Rules/Code of Conduct and a minimum of 3 months participation.

Weekly Rent includes all utilities, bed & linens, dresser, cleaning supplies, necessary paper products, digital cable, unlimited local & long distance telephone, high speed wireless internet and access to on-site fully functional kitchen, bathroom & laundry facilities. 

​

The essential characteristics include:

​

  •  Alcohol & drug free living environment for individuals attempting to abstain from alcohol & drugs.

​

  •  No formal treatment services but either mandated or strongly encouraged attendance at 12-step self help groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). 

​

  •  Required compliance with house rules, such as maintaining abstinence, paying rent &/or other fees, participating in house chores and attending house meetings. 

​

  •  The resident is responsible for financing rent & other costs, remaining law abiding and contributing to the community.

 

​

REQUIREMENTS

​

  1. Minimum of 18 years of age or older

  2. Willing to obtain employment or perform community service

  3. Actively participate in a 12 Step Program & regularly attend AA/NA Meetings

  4. Drug & Alcohol Free for at least 30 days and be able to pass a Urine Drug Screen

  5. Ability to keep current with weekly rent payments

  6. Obtain a Sponsor within 2 weeks of admission

  7. Comply with House Rules and Code of Conduct

  8. Submit to random Urine Drug Screens upon request
